One of my surprises about Tallahassee is the wildlife. Recently a white gecko began lurking around my patio, extremely shy and darting into shadows whenever I toggle the floodlight.
Now there's a family of four. I only captured three on camera tonight because they scatter to the wind when light hits them. They're nocturnal and their territory seems constrained to my patio. The other lizards roam around my yard and I see them at random. The geckos are more predictable, same time and place, perhaps that's why they're more paranoid.
They're kind of endearing. The fourth gecko was on the bottom left, out of camera range.
Only two houses within 200 ft of me and I see more critters every day than people. No HOA, no neighbors, not many ordinances, I'm outside city limits but get county service. I could probably turn my pole barn into a private pistol range if I enclosed and backstopped it. And I'm five miles from the State capital if I manage to kick off a project.
An ideal location as Progressive Supremacists loot everyone else into bankruptcy to save "inferior brown races" from their inferiority.
"A white gecko's spiritual meaning often revolves around renewal, transformation, and good fortune. It can also symbolize a warning or a need for vigilance. The specific interpretation can be influenced by the context in which the gecko is seen and personal beliefs."
